A Fishy Experience

During the New Year Day we went and had lunch with our relatives in Sta.Ana. When we got there, we found out that all of my closest cousins started taking care of aquarium fishes. Bong and Aira have a large aquarium with numerous fish and large house figurine nursery (I do not know what they're actually called). Ate Icel also has a large aquarium with many fish and a big sunken ship figurine nursery. Miguel, Lance and Basty have a medium sized aquarium with 10 or more relatively big fish and no figurine nursery since their fish most likely will just topple it over and it'll be pretty useless since not one of them would fit anyway. But they did compensate by dropping many small toys in the aquarium floor. Σヽ(゜ロ゜;)ノ They sunk dices, lego, pellets of toy guns, small figures, coins, cars and many others...even Batman's head. They said they don't want the fishes to get bored. B'aww~ Such compassionate souls.
( ̄д ̄;)""

Ate Icel first bought a medium sized aquarium before transferring to a bigger one so she had a spare. She convinced Mama to try tending to an aquarium too, so Mama agreed. That day, we took home the empty aquarium with a small Taj Mahal-like building for figurine nursery and a few plastic plants. 2 days after, Ate Icel's father, Tatay Rogel, arrived here in our house with 9 fishes (Mama was quite specific with that number Feng Shui related), pebbles, filter, pump motor, chlorine remover solution and some flake-feeds (much edible for small fishes than pellet feeds). And so I woke up with 2 koi fish, 2 gold fish and 5 small orange fish whose name I do not know swimming in our living room. And that very same day, one decided to try suicide and it was quite successful. We put a cover on the aquarium after that.(; ̄ェ ̄)So we were one short of Mama's golden number.

Yeah, that koi is Damulag.

Another two days and Mama arrived home with an aquarium bar light, a blue stone/coral replica nursery and a relatively big black angelfish with long lower fins. The white koi was a bully and a glutton that it ate the angelfish's fins and so it's now called Damulag. (▼皿▼#) The black koi was getting weaker for unknown reasons. The angelfish stopped eating. One of the small orange fish went missing for a few hours and turned up dead. The black koi and the angelfish followed suit a few days after. We were 3 fish short of Mama's magical number.

And so today, we went to the Public Market and bought some fish. I was a bit surprised that there was actually no store. Just a few fishes in plastic hanging in a rickety wooden structure which was propped on a wall. No store, no booth... just plain old sidewalk-vending. The aquariums and nurseries were kept on the other side of the wall. The poor fishes! In plastic! Probably for until they're sold or dead. There are quite a number of small fishes. Mostly koi, goldfish, hammerhead fish, angelfish, guppies and some more I do not know. There were quite a few big koi fish as large as two of my hands lined up. In plastic! WTF?!

And so we bought 2 angelfish and a weirdly colored goldfish (it resembles our still existing koi, Damulag). Hopefully, they would live. (#/。\#)

And now, I went and put them in the aquarium. <3 Hopefully, Damulag wont bully them nor eat them.

Has anyone noticed the toppled Taj Mahal? It was unfair that the entrance fits only the small fish, okay?

Yeah, the photos are mostly unrelated to what's written. I am not even gomen. ( ̄^ ̄)
